An apple a day.... we all know the saying. Here’s why. The humble apple contains flavonoids, which have anti inflammatory effects and to help protect against heart disease, cancer and allergies. They posses nitric oxide, for good vasodilation, allowing good blood flow. Apples have a range of vitamins, minerals and fibre, especially in the skin. Aim for organic. This organic apple was dull until I rubbed it with a tea towel. Many apples are waxed to prolong shelf life (some waxes are more natural than others) Apples contain their own natural wax too. Enjoy the simple fresh crunch of an apple today. They’re yum on their own, or with cheese and hummus, in salads and deserts. 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎
